Director - Quality Lodgings

Enthusiastic, energetic, and creative are terms that best describe Pauline. She believes in a healthy work-life balance, and is not only a dedicated colleague but also the mother of twins. The current economy is based on collaborating, which is more powerful than competing – of that we are convinced!

Pauline is a commercial specialist who has more than earned her spurs as director of marketing and communications of one of the largest Dutch hotel chains.

Suzanne van Veldhuijsen

Director – Human Resources

Suzanne is a powerful and people oriented HR professional who effortlessly combines dynamism and structure. She excels in renewing and improving HR processes and knows how to make this clear and applicable. Her energetic approach, strong communication skills and ability to connect people at all levels make her a real driver of chance. Suzanne maintains the balance between strategic thinking and practical action, always with an eye for results and people. In short, an enthusiastic and reliable HR expert who makes an impact.

Peter Heule

Director – Q Development & Advisory

Dream, dare and do. Working with owners and managers to develop a vision and strategy for their hotel business is what Peter Heule is proven strong at. Peter has built an all-round career over the past 20 years, from e-commerce in the travel market to leading large team in the European hotel industry. With knowledge from the traditional hotel market to dynamic new concepts such as: short stay and micro-living. In addition to his work as Director for Q Development & Advisory, he is active as an entrepreneur and consultant.

Sander Allegro

Chairman - Quality Lodgings

Hospitality, strategy and innovation are the core concepts in Sander Allegro’s professional activities. Creativity, vision and the translation of complex concepts into practically applicable solutions are characteristic of Sander’s approach and work delivered in which the balance between “high tech” and “high touch” is vital.

In addition to his work as chairman for Quality Lodgings, he is active as an entrepreneur and consultant.

Maurice Barbier

Business Analyst

Maurice Barbier is a specialist, committed, sociable, and a real team player. With a great deal of passion and strength, he dedicates himself to his role as a specialist in management and operations with the right reports and KPIs, implementing improvements together and optimizing IT processes.

Maurice is a sounding board for operational departments and works with others in the search for new developments with a distinctive character. His motto is: Moving forward and innovating together!

Nikie Houben

General Manager - Thermae 2000

An energetic and innovative hospitality professional who always radiates positivity. In recent years, she has led multiple hotel openings and hotel tech start-ups, where her fresh perspective and progressive approach surprise and inspire time and again. Her dynamic personality and creative solutions make her a pioneer in her field.

André Tammer

Bas Tolmeijer

Co-founder & CEO

Bas’s expertise lies in asset management, financial strategy, and the operational management of complex organizations. He can draw on a wealth of management experience in international hospitality, where he served as a general manager, area director, and vice president for various hotel chains.

Bas is also involved in various companies as an entrepreneur, investor, and CEO.

Francesco Monaco

Co-founder & CCO

After a long career in the international hotel industry, he and Bas started their first company in 2001. In 2005 they founded a hotel company, which was expanded in the following years and successfully sold in 2018. Specializing in sales, marketing and communications, his responsibility lies in the commercial development and strategy of the company.

In addition to his work for Q Hospitality Group, Francesco is active as an investor and is creator and founder of the Dutch Hotel Award.

John Stoffers

CFO

With more than 30 years’ experience, John can justifiably call himself a veteran in the hotel industry. He has held various senior management positions at several international hotel chains.

Although he has a very wide area of focus and can contribute to most issues, his expertise lies in the fields of financial organization, legal matters, and IT systems. 

Martijn Hermus

CLO

Martijn has been an attorney-at-law for 20 years at various international law firms. In that capacity he already worked with Bas, Willem-Jan and Francesco for years. Martijn has broad experience on mergers & acquisitions, corporate law and real estate. A practical no nonsense and always target focussed approach characterizes Martijn. He always delivers solutions. Martijn is responsible for all legal affairs but with his creativity also importantly contributes to inventing, developing and realizing new concepts.

Wouter Dekker

COO

Loyal, straightforward, and creative. Thinking outside the box and always looking for new concepts within the hotel industry are his greatest passions.

After graduating in Hotel Management, Wouter worked for various hotel brands and was the general manager responsible for various hotels. He takes pride and pleasure in ensuring operational efficiency and building enthusiastic management teams.

Supervisory Board

Jan ten Kate

Chairman

The Supervisory Board is chaired by Jan ten Kate. He brings extensive international experience as a chartered accountant, CFO, supervisory board member, investor, and entrepreneur. In these roles, he has been closely involved in the strategic development of leading hotel organizations, including serving as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Eden Hotels.

With his financial expertise and experience in governance and value creation, he will contribute to the further professionalization and sustainable growth of Q Hospitality Group.

Jojanneke Goedings

Supervisory Board member

Jojanneke is an experienced and people-oriented executive with a strong focus on leadership, organizational development, and sustainability. In her roles within the financial services and healthcare sectors, she combines strategic insight with a practical, results-driven approach. She is known for her energy, collaborative style, analytical sharpness, and her ability to mobilize people and organizations.

Her strength lies in building future-proof organizations where performance and job satisfaction go hand in hand.

Marcel Hielkema

Supervisory Board member

With nearly 20 years of experience in the (international) hospitality industry at chains such as Hyatt and Bilderberg, Marcel now focuses, as a partner at consultancy firm KplusV, primarily on labor market and regional economic issues.

By combining this expertise with various supervisory and board positions at organizations including VNO-NCW, Papendal, Introdans, and Connectr Energy Innovation, he brings not only an extensive network but also substantial governance experience. In July 2025, Marcel was appointed Chamberlain to His Majesty King Willem-Alexander.
