EHM Group strengthens organisation with industry heavyweights

With the appointment of two new board members, EHM Group assures itself of experienced professionals with whom the Dutch hospitality group can even better shape its growth ambitions in the coming years.

Martijn Hermus has joined EHM Group’s executive board as General Counsel. Hermus has been a lawyer for 20 years and until August worked as a partner at Greenberg Traurig Amsterdam, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate law and real estate. According to Bas Tolmeijer, one of the founders of EHM Group, a logical step: “Our company is growing against the grain, with the playing field becoming increasingly complex. With the newly created position, we will be better able to streamline processes and respond faster to changing needs. As we have been working closely with Martijn in his capacity as a lawyer for over 15 years, both parties know each other inside out. We are therefore delighted to welcome a specialist of his stature as a board member.”

Company set for strong expansion

Larissa Esser, who has been associated with this newest part of EHM Group as Senior Advisor since the launch of Hera HRI last January, will lead the investment, project development and asset management arm as Managing Partner of Hera HRI. “In recent months, we have been working hard to realise partnerships with financial institutions, equity providers and investors. Partly due to the pandemic, the hospitality landscape has changed radically. We have experienced a strong need for our expertise in repositioning, project development, asset management, turnarounds and hotel development. As the initiative continues to take shape and we are busy with our first transactions, we want to formalise the organisational infrastructure. It is with great pride that I will lead Hera HRI. We hope to announce the first acquisition soon,” Larissa said.
